Chemistry Tutoring – “Immediate improvement in my test scores…”

When I first contacted Quantum Prep, I was a month into AP Chemistry, and already regretting my decision to take the course. I had started the year off badly, and it didn't look like it was going to get any better. When my Quantum Prep tutor showed up, and saw my D range grades, he didn't freak out. Instead, he started explaining things from the beginning, patiently, and made sure that I understood everything. He would repeat the same information over and over again in different ways until I was sure that I had mastered the material. At the end of every class, he asked me what I had learned each class, and sure enough, not a single class was wasted. Outside of class, when I was doing practice problems, or studying for a test the night before it (a habit he helped me sort of kick, I'm still working on it ), I could text him with any questions, and he would text me back a thorough answer with reassurance, or call me to explain what I didn't understand, regardless of the time. After I started seeing him, I saw immediate improvement in my test scores. Scores that were in the D range now became A's. When I did get the very occasional bad grade, he helped me figure out what went wrong, and worked with me to fix it. Along with helping me with course material, he taught me how to study efficiently, take good notes, and deal with difficult teachers, as well as other study skills and life skills that have made me more prepared and confident to succeed in college this coming fall. My Quantum Prep tutor is extremely passionate about his work and his students, and I count on always having him as a friend and a mentor as I progress through college and beyond.
